Who Will Lead Us

What Is a Local Church Profile

A New Chapter In Our Life. . .

As we begin the process of calling a new pastor, we know that some things are certain:

We will begin each week by gathering for worship, prayer, and song as we always have.
We will share the Bread of Life and the Cup of Hope and the Gift of Community each time we gather to worship.
We will continue to do the work of justice—to feed the homeless, prepare Tables to Go, share the journey with our companions in Nicaragua, and work on many other projects along the way.
We will continue to laugh and play and celebrate life with one another.
We will continue to support and grieve with one another in the midst of struggle.
We will continue to be the Community of Hope, a community of faith and struggle, a place of where everyone is welcome to share the journey.

We Have What We Need for the Journey. . .

As we take these first steps into the next leg of our journey together, we remind one another that we have what we need for the journey:

We have many companions among us who are committed to the vision and mission of the Community of Hope and who have the skills and gifts needed to help us along the way.
We have a map! So many UCC congregations have taken their own journey down this road that the UCC has prepared a detailed notebook to guide us through this process. Also, there are UCC companions along the way to help us, including our Conference Minister, David Hansen, and the Oklahoma Association Committee on Ministry and our companions at Fellowship who have just recently been down a similar road.

The links on this page will provide you with the various documents we create along the journey. As we begin creating a Local Church Profile, that information will be provided here as well.
